The idea that our solar system is about to come to an end isn't really a new one. The sun is going to die and if humans don't find a way to escape then they are doomed.
However, the unique aspects of 'Last Day On Mars' by Kevin Emerson are that the Earth has already been destroyed, humans are temporarily living on Mars and will just in the nick of time fly away forever before the sun goes supernova leaving our home solar system to find a new home on a distant planet one hundred sum-odd years away.
Now to me that sounds like a fantastic sci-fi concept and as soon as I get the chance I will be getting this book. I'm hoping it won't let me down.
Also, I have no idea why I've been reading a lot of YA novels lately. It's not that I planned on reading them considering the fact that I am 32 years old. So I'm getting a bit too old for the genre but who is to tell me that I can't?
Reading is reading right? No matter what the book or genre is I personally think that any book is worth reading.
Actually when I first looked at this book I didn't realise that it was a YA novel and again another series! There have been so many of those in the past 10 years specially in the YA world.
But there haven't been too many pure sci-fi YA novels and that's what really caught my attention with 'Last Day On Mars' Chronicle of the Dark Star #1. You can feel free to follow the link to get a full synopsis of the book.
So after doing a little research about 'Last Day On Mars' I decided that sometime in the near future I will get this book because it seems like the story has a strong character base.
I suggest reading the reviews and synopsis from several different users on Goodreads in order to make a decision on your own whether you also want to read 'Last Day On Mars'.
